วันที่ 2 พฤศจิกายน 2558 เวลา 14.30 น. พระโสภณวชิราภรณ์ รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายกิจการต่างประเทศ รก.ผู้ อำนวยการวิทยาลัยพระธรรมทูต มจร พร้อมคณะ ร่วมพิธีสักการะพระบรมสารีริกธาตุและร่วมพิธีเจริญพระพุทธมนต์โดยพระสงฆ์ไทย-ศรีลังกา ในโอกาสครบรอบ 60 ปี การสถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตระหว่างราชอาณาจักรไทยกับสาธารณรัฐสังคมนิยมประชาธิปไตยศรีลังกา และในโอกาสที่สมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดา ฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี ทรงเจริญพระชนมายุครบ 60 พรรษา โดยในพิธีมี ประธานฝ่ายสงฆ์ คือ สมเด็จพระมหารัชมังคลาจารย์ ผู้ปฏิบัติหน้าที่สมเด็จพระสังฆราช มีประธานฝ่ายคฤหัสถ์ คือ 1 นายไมตรีปาละ สิริเสนา ประธานาธิบดีแห่งสาธารณรัฐสังคมนิยมประชาธิปไตยศรีลังกา 2 พลเอกประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา นายกรัฐมนตรีแห่งประเทศไทย มีประธานสงฆ์แห่งศรีลังกาคือ พระอุรุแลวัตตะ ธัมมรักขิตะ พร้อมผู้ร่วมงาน คณะสงฆ์ไทย คณะสงฆ์ศรีลังกา พุทธศาสนิกชน ข้าราชการ คณะกรรมการ ฯ ณ อาคารหอประชุมพุทธมณฑล จ.นครปฐม

The special event is for the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thai-Sri Lanka and the 60th birthday anniversary of Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The ceremony had been led by the Most Ven. Somdet Phramaharatchamangkhlachan, Acting Supreme Patriarch of Thailand (the Sangharaja) being the chairman of Thai Sangha. The leaders of Thai –Sri Lankan Governments were the chairman of laities, who were Mr. Maithripala Sirisena, the President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-O-Cha of Thailand. Finally, the Chief of Sri Lankan Sangha was Most Ven. Urulewatte Dhamma Rakkhitha Thero, who is the chair of Sri Lankan monks including with the Thai-Sri Lankan Sanghas, lay devotees, officials and committees etc, at the Conference Hall Phutthamonthon, Nakhon Pathom Province, Thailand.
