วันที่ 13 ต.ค. 58 เวลา 16.00 น. พระโสภณวชิราภรณ์ (ไสว โชติโก) รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายกิจการต่างประเทศ รก. ผู้อำนวยการวิทยาลัยพระธรรมทูต มจร เป็นผู้แทนอธิการบดี เข้าร่วมประชุมคณะกรรมการรับผิดชอบในการต้อนรับบุคคลสำคัญที่เดินทางมาเยือนประเทศไทยอย่างเป็นทางการ ในฐานะแขกของรัฐบาล เพื่อเตรียมการต้อนรับ ฯพณฯ นายไมตรีพละ สิริเสนา ประธานาธิบดีแห่งศรีลังกา โดยมีนายสมคิด จาตุศรีพิทักษ์ รองนายกรัฐมนตรี เป็นประธานการประชุม ณ ห้องประชุม 301 ตึกบัญชาการ 1 ทำเนียบรัฐบาล
