วันที่ 24 มกราคม 2559 พระพรหมบัณฑิต, ศ.ดร. อธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยมหาจุฬาลงกรณราชวิทยาลัย ร่วมงาน สัมมนาสันติภาพพระพุทธศาสนาโลก (World Buddhist Peace Conference) ได้กล่าวปาฐกถาพิเศษ เรื่อง”พระพุทธศาสนากับวิกฤตของโลก”  เพื่อให้นานาชาติอยู่ร่วมกันด้วยสันติ (Peaceful Co-Existence) ณ สถาบันสีตะกู (Sitagu)เมืองสกาย สหภาพเมียนม่าร์ โดยมีพระแสงเฮือง นรินฺโท, ดร. ผอ. กองวิเทศสัมพันธ์ มจร ร่วมงาน ท่ามกลางผู้แทนพระพุทธศาสนาฝ่ายเถรวาทและฝ่ายมหายาน จากแต่ละประเทศ ศาสนิกชนและผู้แทนจากศาสนาอื่นๆ ทั่วโลก กว่า 50 ประเทศ ร่วมประชุมกว่า 500 รูป/คน

On 24 Jan, 2559, The Most Ven.Prof.Dr.Phra Brahmapundit, the Rector of MCU, was with Dr. Phra Seng Hurng Narindo, Director, International Relations Division, Mr. Sommai Supasit, Press Media Division to go to Myanmar for attending the World Buddhist Peace Conference launched at the Sitagu International Buddhist Academy, Sagaing, Myanmar, by Ven. Nyanissara. The conference runs from the 22nd to 25th, January 2559/2016 of the aim to promote peace through religious teachings. The agenda include reciting Namo Tassa three times, lighting holy lamps, recitation of religious verses and addresses and messages delivered by His Excellency U Thien Sein, President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the most Venerable sayadaws as well as the religious seminars and paper reading sessions. Over 200 religious experts were from 51 countries covering 5 continents, including representatives from Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism and over 500 observers including local interfaith groups attend the conference. Prof. Dr. Phra Brahmapundit was also invited to give the keynote speech of “Buddhism & the Global Crisis”. According to the official of Sitagu Buddhist Academy, Tibetan monks conveyed the Buddhist relics from Himalayan Mountains to the conference and discussions on global peace in Buddhist view were made.
