วันที่ 12 มกราคม พ.ศ. 2560 พระโสภณวชิราภรณ์ (ไสว โชติโก) รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายกิจการต่างประเทศ รักษาการผู้อำนวยการวิทยาลัยพระธรรมทูต ผู้แทนมหาวิทยาลัย พร้อมด้วยผู้บริหาร คณาจารย์ และเจ้าหน้าที่ ให้การรับรองคณะชาวพุทธจากสาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีนและเขตปกครองพิเศษฮ่องกง ซึ่งนำโดยพระธรรมาจารย์ ดร.จิ้น หยิง เจ้าอาวาสวัดโฝวหลิน เขตปกครองพิเศษฮ่องกง พร้อมด้วยพระธรรมจารย์เป่นซิง เจ้าอาวาสวัดไคหยวน เมืองฝูวโจว มณฑลฝูวเจี่ยน ในโอกาสเดินทางมาเยี่ยมชมมหาวิทยาลัย และร่วมประชุมปรึกษาหารือเพื่อเตรียมการโครงการค่ายวิปัสสนากัมมัฏฐานภาษาอังกฤษ ณ ห้องประชุม ๔๐๑ อาคารสำนักงานอธิการบดี มหาวิทยาลัยมหาจุฬาลงกรณราชวิทยาลัย
