On 16 Nov 2558, Phra Sophonvachirabhorn, Vice Rector for Foreign Affairs of MCU, Acting Director of Dhammaduta College of MCU was with the Director, Office of the Rector to join the ceremonial day anniversary of passed away of Ven. Master Dr. Dhammachan Kok Kwong, (16 May 1919 – 16 November 2014) a Tiantai Buddhist monk from Hong Kong and the first president of the Hong Kong Buddhist Association. He was also the Honorary Vice President of the World Buddhist Sangha Council, a member of the Hong Kong Basic Law Drafting Committee, and a Hong Kong Affairs Advisor. The ceremony was held at Kun Chung monastery, Hong Kong as a special administrative region of China, the People’s Republic of China (PRC).
