วันที่ 18 ม.ค. 59 พระโสภณวชิราภรณ์ (ไสว โชติโก) รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายกิจการต่างประเทศ รก. ผู้อำนวยการวิทยาลัยพระธรรมทูต พร้อมด้วยพระเมธีธรรมาจารย์ รอง ฯ ฝ่ายประชาสัมพันธ์ คณาจารย์ วิทยาลัยพระธรรมทูต และเจ้าหน้าที่กองวิเทศสัมพันธ์ มจร ร่วมงานพระราชทานเพลิงศพ พระครูโสภณบุญเขต อดีตจอ.จตุรพักตรพิมาน จังหวัดร้อยเอ็ด ณ เมรุพิเศษนกหัสดีลิงค์ วัดป่าสังข์ จังหวัดร้อยเอ็ด โดยมีสมเด็จพระพุฒาจารย์ กรรมการมหาเถร ฯ เจ้าคณะใหญ่หนตะวันออก เป็นประธานฝ่ายสงฆ์ มีพระเทพเมธี เจ้าคณะภาค 9 เป็นผู้แสดงธรรมเทศน์แจง มีพระราชปริยัติโมลี รองเจ้าคณะภาค 9 เจ้าอาวาสวัดโมลีโลกยาราม พร้อมด้วยเจ้าคณะ พระสังฆาธิการและพระสงฆ์ทั่วสารทิศมาร่วมงาน มีนายชยัน ศิริมาตย์ รองผู้ว่าราชการ จ.ร้อยเอ็ด เป็นประธานฝ่ายฆราวาส พร้อมด้วยข้าราชการ ประชาชนจำนวนมากร่วมงาน

On 18 Jan 2559, Phra Sophonvachirabhorn, Vice Rector for Foreign Affairs of MCU, Acting Director of Dhammaduta College of MC was with Phramethithammajarn, Vice-Rector for Public Relations and Propagation, Lecturers of Dhammaduta College and Staffs of Foreign Relations Officer, MCU to attend the Royal Cremation of Phrakhru Sophonbonyakhet, the former as Dean Sanghas of Chaturaphak Phiman District at Wat Pa Sang Chaturaphak Phiman District Roi Et Province. Led by Somdet Phrabuddhajarn, a Committee of Sangha Supreme Council of Thailand, the Eastern Regional Sangha Governor was the chairman of Sanghas. Phra Thepmethi, the 9th Sangha Regional Governor, was the preaching Dhamma. Joined by Mr.Chayan Sirimat, Deputy Roi Et Governor was the chairman of lay people.
