เมื่อวันที่ 1 ก.พ. 59 เวลา 15.00-16.00 น. พระโสภณวชิราภรณ์ (ไสว โชติโก) รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายกิจการต่างประเทศ รก. ผู้อำนวยการวิทยาลัยพระธรรมทูต เป็นผู้แทนอธิการบดี มจร เข้าร่วมพิธีฌาปนกิจศพ พระภัททันตะ ดร. ชฏิละ อดีตประธานสงฆ์สำนักวิปัสสนามหาสีฯ เจ้าอาวาสวัดมหาสี ณ กรุงย่างกุ้ง สาธารณรัฐแห่งสหภาพเมียนมาร์ ซึ่งมรณภาพลงด้วยโรคมะเร็งในเลือด เมื่อ 28 ม.ค. 59 รวมสิริอายุ 81 ปี พรรษา 61

On 1 Feb 2559 at 15.00-16.00, Phra Sophonvachirabhorn, Vice Rector for Foreign Affairs of MCU, Acting Director of Dhammaduta College of MCU was a representative of MCU to join the funeral ceremony of Ven. Dr. Chadila, the former of President Mahasi Vipassana Meditation Center, Abbot of Mahasi Monastery in Yangon, Myanmar. He passed away on 28 Jan 2559 at the age of 81.
