วันที่ 30 มิ.ย. 2559 เวลา 16.40 น. พระโสภณวชิราภรณ์ (ไสว โชติโก) รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายกิจการต่างประเทศ รักษาการผู้อำนวยการวิทยาลัยพระธรรมทูต มหาวิทยาลัยมหาจุฬาลงกรณราชวิทยาลัย (มจร) พร้อมด้วย ผู้บริหาร อาจารย์วิทยาลัยพระธรรมทูต และเจ้าหน้าที่ มจร ร่วมงานพระราชทานเพลิงศพ นายทวี หนุนภักดี ม.ป.ช., ม.ว.ม., ท.จ., ภ.ป.ร.๓ ณ ฌาปนสถานกองทัพบก วัดโสมนัสราชวรวิหาร กรุงเทพมหานคร ในโอกาสนี้ มจร ได้จัดพิมพ์หนังสือ “บอกใจให้เป็นสุข” แจกเป็นของที่ระลึกในงานนี้ด้วย
ทั้งนี้ นายทวี หนุนภักดี ได้ปฏิบัติหน้าที่ซึ่งมีคุณูปการต่อ มจร เป็นอย่างยิ่ง เช่น เป็นอดีตผู้อำนวยการสำนักงานตรวจเงินแผ่นดิน อดีตกรรมการการเงินและทรัพย์สิน มจร อดีตกรรมการผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิสภามหาวิทยาลัย มจร อดีตกรรมการมูลนิธิมหาจุฬาลงกรณราชวิทยาลัย และได้บริจาคเงินเข้ามูลนิธิมหาจุฬาลงกรณราชวิทยาลัย มาหลายปี และที่สำคัญคือ ได้ร่วมจัดทำระบบตรวจสอบงบประมาณ การเงิน ของ มจร

He was a former Director, Office of the Auditor General. And he was a former of committees of Finance and Property and an honorary committee of University Council, MCU.
