วันที่ 3-5 ส.ค. 2560 พระโสภณวชิราภรณ์ รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายกิจการต่างประเทศ รักษาการผู้อำนวยการวิทยาลัยพระธรรมทูต เป็นผู้แทนของพระพรหมบัณฑิต อธิการบดี มจร เพื่อเข้าร่วมประชุมผู้นำศาสนาโลก (the 30thAnniversary of the Religious Summit) ซึ่งเป็นการประชุมสุดยอดทางศาสนาครั้งที่ 30 ณ ภูเขาฮียเอย (Mt. Hiei) เมืองเกียวโต ประเทศญี่ปุ่น โดยมีจุดประสงค์เพื่อความเข้าใจและความร่วมมือกันเพื่อความสงบสุขและสันติภาพ
